Hugo
Hugo, Colorado sits along the Big Sandy River and is a major hub for US Hwy. 287, 40, 24, and 109. These highways run through the heart of the town. The population of the town is around 800 people. Even though it is not the largest city in Lincoln County, it is the county seat. The courthouse, county jail and community hospital are located within the town, which continue to be major employers of the county. The Genoa-Hugo School District was the recipient of the Best Grant. As a result, a brand new school was built in 2015. Another perk of the town is the main street, which takes you back to a glimpse of old town Colorado. There is a bank, grocery store, title company, antique store, bar, and automobile/service station all within one city block.
